I had the pleasure of trying their signature crepes and was blown away by the perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors. The crepes were light and fluffy, with generous fillings that left me feeling satisfied but not overly stuffed. Paired with a glass of beer or wine from their selection, it was truly a delightful dining experience.

Ah dang. So good. This place is slept on for sure. They have a ton of new menu items so I took the fall for y'all and tried one, the haute burger. I don't know whose idea it was but this was amazing. It's like a western/cowboy burger which they also have, with bacon, melted cheese, sauteed onions, and aioli, and some arugula for health purposes ofc. I used the BBQ sauce for the sweet potato fries on the side which were just a mountain. The whole plate was, honestly. I had to put some away off the bat or I didn't trust I wouldn't eat it all and get sick. Crispy yet squishy fries were perfect. The cowboy burger was very tempting but this is pretty similar so I'm happy with my choice, since I went from pasta to salad to basically everything on the menu. Stupid ADHD. I also sampled the chicken fettuccine which was decent but definitely not the all star player on this table. The garlic bread was good. We got a pumpkin scone for dessert not shown, which tasted like pumpkin and was excellent. Self service mostly as always. Their Christmas decor is cute. Glad we came here over Old Sac because that place is way too crowded at this time of year/weekend.
This gem of a coffee shop is ahhmazing. The counter staff are friendly, fast and efficient as they demonstrated making my specialized Matcha Latte . But wait there's more! The array of fresh pastries, drinks and snacks is impressive. I enjoyed a chicken roll that was perfectly lightly seasoned with a flaky crust. So good! There are tables inside and a countertop area with stools that face a large window and view. The overall area is not very large. However, there is room to maneuver a small mobility device if interested in table seating. Wheelchair users may feel more at ease at the countertop area and the stools can be easily moved out the way. Love that this little shop is in my neighborhood and a quick roll gets me to this place to enjoy customized hot or cold drinks and delicious foods.
Hidden Gem in Downtown Sac! This cozy cafe is one of my fav hidden spots in downtown Sac! I've tried their savory crepes, soup, and salads--all delicious--but last night, I went for the Nutella crepe with strawberries, and it was amazing. The crepe had a perfect crispiness (I'm big on texture), and our sweet waitress even brought extra Nutella on the side, which was such a nice touch. The inside has a festive Christmas vibe with a lovely tree, but my cousin and I opted for the outdoor seating. The fountain and fire pit tables made it such a vibe, and we stayed nice and warm, even with my cousin's anemia. Great food, friendly staff, and an inviting ambiance--I definitely recommend checking this place out!
W've seen Cafe Dantorels many times. Finally we stopped in for lunch the other day. Everyone was very friendly and the staff seemed to enjoy their work. We heard several loud cheers from the kitchen while we were eating. You order at a counter and food is brought to your table. There is plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. My wife ordered the salmon sandwich and I ordered the crispy chicken club. Each sandwich comes with fries and a dill pickle. The sandwiches are really delicious and big. I was really hungry so I ate half my sandwich before remembering to take a photo. If two people are both not too hungry one sandwich and the fries would be sufficient. We are really glad we gave this lovely neighborhood gem a try. One more reason to love Curtis Park.
Food: 5/5 Drinks: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Seating: 5/5 Parking: 2/5 I came on a Monday around 5:30pm in October. It was not busy with only a few other patrons. There is a very small, private parking lot in the back that could fit 6-7 cars at most. Otherwise, you'll have to do street parking which most around is 90 minutes only from Mon-Sat, 8am-6pm. I found some street close street parking that was 2 hours from 8am-6pm. The first impression as you walk up is it's very pretty as it's decorated with lots of plants. There is so much shaded outdoor seating along the sidewalk and a large outdoor patio. The weather was still hot so there were water misters to keep it cool on the sidewalk seating. For the patio, there are ceiling fans. There is so much seating indoors from booths to cushioned chairs, all very comfortable. The music is moderately loud. It's cool and conditioned inside I even put on a jacket. The ambiance was nice and casual to bring friends, families, or dogs and hang out or even study for a long while. Note that none of the seating seemed to have outlets. As you enter, there's a menu at the door and when you're ready to order, you pay at the counter. Then, you grab a number and can sit anywhere in the restaurant. The service was very nice, conversational, and provided my food in a timely manner. There is a self-serve water station. Besides providing your drinks/food and picking up your dirty dishes at the end of the meal, no one really checks in as it seems more of a self-service style. The tables are kept clean. I sat by one of the many tables next to the windows and there were some flies on the windows but they didn't bother my food. I don't blame the establishment, it's hard to control for bugs when there's a lot of plants and there are multiple large doors constantly being opened. For drinks I ordered an iced Matcha Latte with soy milk. Per the sign at the counter it looks like partnered with Temple Coffee to make the drinks. Personally, it does not taste made with authentic matcha powder as it is very sweet but I still loved it. For food I ordered the Brie & Candied Bacon Burger (comes with regular fries) that was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. It was delicious and you can choose how cooked the patty you want. I also ordered the Curtis Park Fries which were not too spicy and deliciously saucy. I think the food was delicious and will definitely return to try other items such as the crepes. Overall, a great casual place to spend some comfortable time at. A bonus is they are open very late (until 10pm).
Cafe Dantorels is a great go-to lunch spot, but be prepared for the crowd--it's always packed during lunchtime. I've been here in two separate occasions and by 1130am it was already packed! You pay for your food first, and then they bring it out to your table, which adds to the quick and casual vibe. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, with a self-serve setup for water and utensils. The back patio is my favorite, offering a cozy area with a relaxing water fountain feature. I've been here a few times, and it's consistently a great spot. The choice of music however is interesting. I wasn't offended however, the choice of music most likely is not appropriate for young children. The food is solid, and the variety keeps me coming back. This time I got the burger and fries and can never finish it. Parking can be a bit tricky, with only street parking available, so plan ahead! Check them out!
